Have you been diagnosed with Lymphoedema, Lipodema or chronic oedema?
Lymphoedema is a chronic progressive condition affecting millions of people around the world. It is caused by a malfunction of the lymphatic system, meaning the system struggles to remove excess fluid, bacteria and other waste products from the body.
Lymphoedema is defined by either primary or secondary, meaning you can have it from birth or as a genetic, congenital abnormality or following surgery such as breast cancer where around 20% of patients present with lymphoedema.
I am fully qualified in FG-MLD (fluoroscopy guided manual lymphatic drainage) which is highly recognised by the NHS and by the Cancer Research UK.
Once we have discussed a treatment plan, we will also go through other self treatment options so you can continue to maintain your oedema.

The treatment involves the manipulation of the soft tissue of the scalp, head, neck, jaw and shoulders, to help relieve stored tensions, to stimulate circulation and to improve joint movement. It also helps release stored toxins through the blood and lymph systems. The gentle but firm movements and massage techniques break down the nodules that develop in the muscle groups associated with these areas and help reduce the associated stiffness.
This treatment is particularly beneficial for headaches, eye strain, physical/emotional stress, poor circulation, anxiety, congestion, stiff neck or shoulders, depression, arthritis, sleep problems and TMJ disorders.
